A healthy lifestyle often starts in the kitchen, and juicers are an important part of it. Whether you’re a breakfast lover who prefers fresh orange juice or a health fanatic who loves green juices, juicers are an essential kitchen appliance. When choosing a juicer, one of the most important factors to consider is how easy it is to clean. In this article, I will discuss the top-rated juicers that are easy to clean and maintain.

I will make this list with 3 types of juicers that I found that are easy to clean.

Hurom Easy Clean series – Hurom H310A and H400

I have recently purchased the Hurom H310A since it is super compact. But its greatest benefit is not its size, it is the easy-to-clean auger which dismounts in 2 pieces and makes it super easy to clean. I haven’t seen any other juicer doing this and it really is the game changer.

After I ordered the H310A, they also introduced the Hurom H400 which is the same auger but bigger and it is probably much faster with its juicing tasks.

Cleaning should be the same, you rinse everything with water and you are done! No scrubbing is needed.

Compared to other juicers (for example Hurom H320N), these easy series juicers leave a little bit more pulp in the juice, so this is worth knowing before you decide to go with it. The juice yield is approximately the same as any other juicer.

Recently I did a comparison between Hurom H320N and H310A so check it out.

Horizontal juicers (single auger juicers)

When I first started juicing, I purchased Hurom GI. Looking back, it is fairly easy to clean it. It uses a simple auger and strainer, which are both easy to clean.

Since almost all horizontal juicers have the same parts, it doesn’t need to be Hurom GI, there are also plenty of other ones. You can also check Omega Juicers (which are recommended by Anthony Wiliam), high-end Angel Juicers, but there are also cheaper alternatives like Philips masticating juicer.

Vertical juicers with big hoppers

Hurom H320N and Nama J2 are the ones who started with these types of juicers. Both of them are built by Hurom and they are game changers in the juicing industry. They have high efficiency, they do a huge part of cutting on their own and they are way easier to clean than some of the juicers I tried in past (for example Hurom HZ).

After some time, Hurom presented the H330P, which is the same as the H320N, just new colours, more sustainable product packing and refreshed design. The last one, Kuvings Auto10 was presented with a slightly bigger hopper but basically, they are all working on the same principle.

So, what is so special about them that they are considered as easy to clean? The chamber can be discounted so that you can remove the pulp way more easily than on other juicers.

I have H320N as my primary juicer and I’ve been using it for more than a year, so feel free to check my review.

The technology behind juicing

It is important to understand the technology that determines the performance and efficiency of juicers. Two main aspects are the slow juicing technology and the ability to produce maximum juice yield.

Slow juicing technology

Slow juicing technology, also known as cold pressing or masticating, is a method used in juicing that helps preserve the nutritional value and taste of the juice. This method uses a slow, powerful process to squeeze juice from fruits and vegetables without generating heat that could destroy the enzymes and nutrients in the juice.

An example of a juicers that use this technology is Hurom Juicers. The Hurom slow juicing technology ensures you get the maximum juice yield with minimal waste, making cleanup afterwards easier.

For more information on juicers that use this technology, read our article on masticating juicers vs centrifugal juicers.

Maximum juice yield

Juice yield refers to the amount of juice a juicer can extract from a given amount of fruit or vegetables. A high-yield juicer is more efficient because it extracts more juice from the same amount of ingredients. This is not only more economical but also easier to clean as there is less waste.

Juicers that offer maximum juice yield typically use slow juicing technology (compared to centrifugal juicers) to ensure as much juice as possible is extracted from the ingredients. They also tend to be more expensive than other models but offer better value for money in the long run.

Materials and durability of juicers

When looking for easy-to-clean juicers, the quality of the materials and their durability are also very important.

Durable materials

Juicers that are made of robust and durable materials not only impress with their durability but are also easier to clean. An example of this is the Hurom H320N juicer. This juicer is made with durable materials that are easy to clean and maintain. This ensures that it lasts a long time even with regular use. The quality and durability of the materials contribute significantly to the user-friendliness and longevity of a juicer.

Hurom-Europe about materials used:

Tritan, which is used for baby bottles. Stainless steel strainers that are less susceptible to germs. Strainers made from Ultem, which is non-toxic. And, the Ultem screw that can withstand strong pressure. HUROM has meticulously selected materials with consideration for your health.

Maintenance and Care

The aspect of maintenance and care also plays a crucial role when choosing a juicer. A well-maintained juicer will last longer and function more efficiently. Therefore, users should ensure that the juicer is cleaned thoroughly after each use. Most models are dishwasher safe, which makes cleaning easier. In addition, the juicer should be checked regularly for worn parts and possible damage.

Regardless of the model you choose, the juicer must be well-maintained to ensure its functionality and longevity. For more information about the best juicers for home use, check out our article on the best juicers for home use.
